Over a three-decade work, Fiorio unfolds a research around the human figure exploring the condition between reality and appearance in the dialectic presence-vision.

1990-2000 Fiorio’s work focuses on masculine closed communities – On Men – in the Western society. 2000–2009 the research-project The Gift addresses the relationship between human and Sacred in ritual expressions of Belief. The Gift has been granted the High Patronage of UNESCO in April 2009.
Since 2010, the project Humanum the archaeology of Being reconsiders earliest representations of human figuration in archaic statuary. Through a museographic display revealing the transfiguration of sculptural appearance in the evolution of light, Fiorio traces the relationship between matter and form transcending the visible surface of photographic representation. For this project Fiorio has so far worked at the National Archaeological Museum of Athens; the Acropolis Museum of Athens; the Musée du Louvrein Paris; the Iraq Museum in Baghdad; the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Wien and the National Archaeological Museum of Cyprus in Nicosia.
